What do you guys usually mix with your protein powder? I am about to start taking ON's Whey 100% Chocolate and dont know what to mix it with. I read that 1 scoop after workouts is enough, is this true? Thanks!

Most Flavored Whey products are mixed with Water. The directions should indicate if the nutritional numbers given are mixed with water or with milk.

I have plain unflavored whey protein that I have been known to mix with egg and make it into pancakes. OR mix the plain with Oatmeal for a more stick to your ribs type of breakfast(when I was doing more weight training).

I mix my protein power with skim milk. I couldn't imagine drinking that stuff in water. I like the above recommendation about mixing the unflavored stuff in with other foods. I'll have to try that.

I put a half portion of protein powder in whatever I'm eating: Oatmeal, yogurt, hotdish, cottage cheese, apple crisp, smoothie . . . .

I use Whey Protein, Ice, fat free skim, nutmeg, vanilla, and some frozen blueberries and some psyllium husk.

From 389 to 200 is the Goal. Can I do it? Yes I can.

I make my protein shakes with skim milk or water or even a combination of both, depending on my needs for the day. For instance if I want more protein to balance out my day because my carbs are pretty high I will make the shakes with just water and ice, but if the carbs aren't an issue for the day I will make it with skim milk.

I also recently discovered a new way to balance out one of my breakfast meals...take your cold cereal and pour some of your vanilla protein shake (made with water)over it. It is pretty tasty and it isn't as carb heavy as it would have been using milk.

dear eatless,
There's a lot of ways to mix your whey 100% choco protein powder
Suggested Use
Quick: Add 1 scoop to 3-6 fl oz of water. Blend. Add 1-2 ice cubes. Blend.
Quicker: Fill shaker bottle with 3-6 fl oz water. Add 1 scoop. Shake. Enjoy.
Quickest: Add 1 scoop to 3-6 fl oz of water and mix with a spoon. Enjoy.

For Best Results Customize Your Intake

* Take one scoop upon rising - to end your catabolic fast.
* Take one scoop 1/2 hour before exercise - to fuel your muscles.
* Take one scoop and drink during exercise - to fuel working muscles.
* Take one scoop immediately after exercise - to help muscles recover.
* Take one scoop before bedtime - to delay your catabolic state.

I found this suggestions through the internet. Hope this will help,.

I find using the Bullet mini-blender is great for protein drinks and fruit. Plus the container it blends in is a cup with a handle!
